Christy Demetrakis is the author of Faith to Conquer Fear: Inspiration to Achieve your Dreams. She is also the President and Founder of The Empowered Speaker, a presentation skills training company. She offers public workshops, customized on-site programs for companies and organizations, and is a certified instructor for the Speakers Training CampTM.
The Speakers Training CampTM has been taught to clients at Cobb Vantress, University of Cincinnati, University of Arkansas, Procter & Gamble, Dow Chemical, Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, Nike and the U.S. Treasury Dept.
Christy has spent the last 18 years working in Fortune 500 companies in Sales and Management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications and Radio Television from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the Network of Executive Women, the African American Chamber of Commerce, and Professional Speakers Bureau International. She is also the founder of "Failure No Option", a small business mentoring program designed to coach new entrepreneurs on the steps to creating a strong foundation for their start up business.
